A seventeen-room guest house and wedding and function venue tucked away on a beautiful smallholding in Bredell. For years, our family has been welcoming travellers, wedding parties and companies to enjoy good food, warm hospitality and our truly special garden — a place where people come to celebrate, unwind and feel at home.

For guests who prefer to self‑cater, we also offer Bouleigh, our fully equipped two‑bedroom apartment located nearby — ideal for longer stays or those who enjoy preparing their own meals.

Hilgard Hall can seat up to 150 guests and is ideal for weddings, corporate functions, year‑end events, celebrations, or any other special occasion. A garden ceremony in our beautiful garden, before continuing the celebration indoors, is also an option.

We also offer a boma area, perfect for hosting any function around the fire and creating an inviting Bosveld atmosphere — ideal for braais, relaxed gatherings, or rustic evening events.

A tranquil garden to enjoy, featuring established trees, a well‑kept lawn, a pool, and a braai area. It’s also a beloved photo spot, with many special moments captured here through the years.
Flying out?
Sleep, park and fly
Skip the high parking costs at the airport. Sleep over with us the night before your flight, leave your car safely with us for the duration of your trip, and we will run you to O.R. Tambo in the morning — about ten minutes down the road.
When you land back home, just let us know your arrival details and we will be there to fetch you and bring you back to collect your car. It works out far cheaper than long‑stay airport parking, and a good deal less stressful.

If your company needs a venue for a conference, a training day or a workshop nearby, we have the facilities and the experience to host it properly — a hall that seats up to 150, catering made on site, and enough rooms that delegates travelling in can simply stay the night rather than drive home.

A word about the carriage
Yes, there is a carriage
An antique horse-drawn carriage lives in the hall, and it has been photographed with more brides than most photographers in Kempton Park. It is not for hire and it does not go anywhere — it simply stands there, gleaming, and it has become the thing people remember about the place.
If you are getting married here, plan a photograph with it. Everyone does, and nobody has ever regretted it.

How do I find out room rates?
Rates vary by room type, season and how many of you are staying, so we do not publish a fixed price list. Check live rates and availability on our booking page, or contact us directly and we will talk you through the options. Wi-Fi, parking and the swimming pool are free either way.
How many guests can Hilgard Hall seat?
Hilgard Hall seats up to 150 guests. It is our only function hall — hire is R7 000, which includes waiters, cleaners, a manager on duty, a draped bridal table seating ten, and draped cake, gift and sherry tables.

Do you host conferences?
Yes. We run full-day corporate conferences for up to 150 delegates, with arrival tea, mid-morning tea, lunch and afternoon refreshments, plus notepads, pens, water and mints. Conference pricing is quoted per event.
